How do I select several things and line them up?

I have four icons and want them evenly spaced in a row.

SOLUTION

With the Move tool (V), drag a box around them from an empty spot, or Shift+click each one.
In Properties (or the right-click menu) click Middle to line them up.
Click Space evenly to give them equal gaps.

Ctrl+G groups them so they move together.
