Magic Layers turns a flat picture, like a poster you were sent or a photo, into separate layers you can move and edit.
- Add the picture to your page and click it once to select it.
- Open Magic in the left column (the wand) and click Magic Layers.
- Wait a few seconds. You get one layer per person or object, editable text layers for words it can read, and a background with the gaps filled in.
- Open Layers on the right to move, hide or restyle each part.
When two people end up on one layer
Undo with Ctrl+Z, draw loosely around one person with the Lasso (L), then run Magic Layers again. Whatever is inside the lasso becomes its own layer.
Good to know
- It uses one magic edit. Free accounts get 20 a day, Teams 100.
- Clear subjects work best; very busy scenes may give fewer layers.
- The original picture is kept underneath as "… (background)".
